Types of documentation in eCargo
In eCargo Premium, you can generate and print labels, consignment notes, manifests, and dangerous goods declarations. Some (but not all) of these are also able to be printed in eCargo Web.
Documentation | Description |
Consignment note | Provides full details on the consignment (job) - including addresses, quantities, carriers and comments. Can be printed in either A4 or A5 formats. |
Pallet label | A label with barcodes for each lift, pallet, carton or pack. The label can be printed to the supported Zebra label printer or on A4 to standard laser printer. The labels may also print on other label printers, however the media size needs to be similar to the 101 by 149 mm eCargo label size. |
Dangerous goods declaration | Provides regulatory details on the dangerous goods items, including health and safety information. |
Manifest | Lists all consignments (jobs) included on the manifest - more compact than the consignment note. |
Job list | Prints all or selected jobs in the job list. Useful as a run sheet. |
Barcodes | Barcodes are printed on the Consignment Notes and Labels using the Code 39 barcode type. The barcode represents the consignment number. |
Note that label printing has a preferred unit of measure to print by, with the first preference being lifts. So if the consignment has 5 lifts, it will print 5 labels. If the consignment does not have lifts, it will use the next preferred unit of measure. The preferred unit of measure order is lift, pallet, and then carton. If specific units of measure are required to be printed before lifts, a configuration can be set up to use a different unit of measure first. Contact eCargo support in order to have this set up if needed.
Printing using eCargo Web Dispatch
From My Jobs check the check-boxes of the jobs you'd like to print documentation for, then select which document you would like to Print. This generates a PDF that includes a consignment note and a dangerous goods certificate (if required), as well as labels if selected.
Printing in eCargo Premium
From the Details tab, right click on the job or manifest you want to print documentation for, and select Print. This opens the print window, where you can change the printer, and specify what is printed.
