A consignment covers the dispatch and delivery of goods. Consignments are usually created by either the owner of the freight, or the logistics provider, who manages the freight.
If you a switching from the old Dispatch application you will find this section helpful to understand the new statuses.

Navigating to the the consignment list page
To switch to the Consignments List page select the 'Switch to new dispatch' option at the top of Dispatch page. This page will shortly replace the existing Dispatch pages.

Consignment | Contains the unique identifier for a consignment, generally referred to as a consignment number. |
Pickup from | The business where the goods are to be transported from. |
Planned pickup at | Date/time. When the goods are expected to be picked up. |
Deliver to | The business where the goods are to be delivered. |
Planned deliver to | Date/time. When the goods are expected to be delivered. |
Load | A summary of the goods being transported, and how they're packaged. |
Carriers | The carrier responsible for transport of the goods. The subcontractor will also display underneath the primary carrier if assigned. |
Vehicle | The vehicle transporting the goods, a free text field so data may vary. |
Documents | A document icon will display in this field if any documents are attached to the consignment. Generally, this is used to display proof of delivery documents provided by the carrier. |
Consignment statuses
The status buttons will show a count of the consignments in that status. Selecting a status will display the consignments in the list.
Note: If you are switching from the old Dispatch application the new statuses will look quite different.
The table below describes the differences and how the old status maps to the new:

Consignment search
Search for specific consignments by consignment number. If a consignment cannot be found, it will display a row for the consignment illustrating it couldn't be found.
Searching by a single consignment number will perform partial as well as exact matches when searching. The exact match will always be at the top of the list, followed by the partial matches.
Multiple consignment numbers can be entered and searched for at once, using either a comma separator or a new line. This will only search for an exact match, partial matches are not supported when searching for multiple consignment numbers. CTRL + ENTER will execute the search.
There are no date limits applied to the consignments you can search for.
Export to Excel
Download the consignment data displayed on the page to review and analyse. The exported file is of format .xlsx, typically used by Microsoft Excel.

Date
Only the last 90 days of data will be displayed unless searching for specific consignment numbers.
Maximum number of consignments displayed
The maximum number of consignments displayable at any one time is 2,500.
Viewing the details of a consignment
To view the details and update a consignment, click the consignment number in the consignment column or double-click the consignment row.
Creating a single consignment
To create a single consignment, click the New button. This will take you to the Create a new consignment page.
Import multiple consignments
If you need to create many consignments at once, the Import feature may assist to make it easier. Click the Import button, and this will take you to the Import consignments page.
Printing consignment labels and consignment notes
Consignment labels and consignment notes can be printed from either the consignment details page, or from the Consignment list page. When printing from the Consignment list page, select the consignment, or consignments, that you wish to print then select the Print button at the top of the list to print the document type.
Once printed, the list will be refreshed and display the documents printed icon in the Information column. This allows you to sort and filter on the consignments that you have not yet printed.

Bulk actions on multiple consignments
The consignment list page provides bulk action buttons to perform a common task on multiple selected consignments at once.
These bulk actions are more convenient than opening each consignment in the consignment details page then performing the equivalent action.
If there are any selected consignments that are not valid for the action then the pop-up will indicate the ineligible consignments.
Note that the selected consignments can be changed while the pop-up is open.
Bulk allocate vehicle
Select the consignment, or consignments, that you wish to assign a specific vehicle to, then select the Allocate vehicle button at the top of the list.
This will open a pop-up which will have a vehicle text box for the vehicle value to set.
To set the vehicle, click the 'Allocate vehicle' button within the pop-up.
Bulk confirm pickup
Select the consignment, or consignments, that you wish to confirm pickup for, then select the Confirm pickup button at the top of the list.
This will open a pop-up which will have a date and time input for the pickup date and time value to set.
The default value will be the current date and time.
The value can be edited by keyboard or by using the calendar button to the right which will create an interactive date and time picker.
To confirm the pickup date and time, click the 'Confirm pickup' button within the pop-up.
Selecting multiple consignments
The consignment list page allows you to select multiple consignments at once for printing and other bulk actions. There are several ways to do this:
Using the checkbox
- To select multiple consignments, click on the checkbox for each consignment.
- To clear your selection, click the top checkbox in the header row twice, once to select all and again to deselect all.
Using the rows and keys
- Click anywhere along the consignment row, except the consignment number, to select the consignment
- Select the consignment row and holding the mouse button, drag down to select the consignments
- Select the consignment row, then press the SHIFT key and select another consignment further down the list. All consignments in between the top and bottom consignments will be selected.
- Use the CTRL key to select specific consignments.
Tricks and tips
- Use the header row checkbox (top left of the grid) to select all and deselect all consignments visible in the list.
- As multiple consignments are selected a counter will appear at the bottom of the screen, showing you how many consignments are currently selected.
- Use the filters and sorting to select the consignments you want.
- Changing filters and sorting will remember current selections, which means you can add to the already selected consignments.
- Changing status will clear the current selections.
Filtering consignments in your list
The filter button (three vertical dots) appears at the top of the primary column. Click this to search, select and filter consignments in your list to your selection.
The filter button will appear blue when there is a filter applied. To clear the filter simply click the button and the Clear button.
Sorting consignments in your list
To sort the list data by a column simply click on the header. The column data can be sorted ascending or descending, represented by an arrow in the header which will appear if a sort is applied. You can sort by multiple columns by clicking on multiple headers.
