If you are having communication errors firstly check your internet access to see if you still have an active connection, or if your internet is just slow to respond. To check your internet open a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, and go to a website other than eCargo, such as your local newspaper.
If you cannot access this website then your internet may be down. Please contact your IT Support Desk.
If you can access this website , then there are three other possible causes why you are experiencing an error with eCargo:
- The eCargo service is temporarily unavailable or cannot be accessed by your internet service provider. Action: Contact eCargo Support for further information
- There is a new eCargo Premium release that needs to be updated and is not automatically doing so. Action: Run eCargo Premium as Administrator to update, uninstall then reinstall eCargo, or contact your IT Support Desk to do this for you.
- You have a new installation of eCargo however your network is preventing it from accessing the eCargo servers. Action: Please contact your IT Support Desk.
Install updated Premium Release
If you are having issues with receiving the updated Premium after a software release, try the following:
A. Run as Administrator:
Go to the eCargo Premium icon and right click on it, do you have an option to run as Administrator? Or can you log on as the Administrator? If so use this and the Auto Updater will work to update to the latest eCargo Premium version and you should then be able to login.
B. Re-Install eCargo Premium:
Login to the eCargo Web site. Click on the ‘Login’ button in the right hand corner and enter your eCargo login and password. Once logged in go to the Admin menu, access the eCargo Premium Download page. Run the installation file available on this page.
When complete use your desktop eCargo Premium icon again. This will then complete the installation and present the user with login window.
